Beatboxing flutist, Greg Pattillo, burst onto the YouTube scene circa 2007, racking up over 20 million views for his performance videos. Patillo has garnered world recognition for his skills, as well as attention from the New York Times:
"Greg Pattillo may be the best person in the world at what he does. He may also be the only person in the world who does what he does. A classically trained flutist who studied with the Cleveland Orchestra before teaching music in San Francisco and New York, Mr. Pattillo, 29, is now a beat boxing flute player. In his songs, Pattillo combines classical music with the New York-bred street art of beat boxing, a method of vocal percussion made famous by hip-hop artists in the early 1980s."
